More than 400 upperclassmen live in the Olde, which is one of three apartment complexes on the Purchase campus.
The two incidents are currently under investigation, SUNY police said.
In a university alert, Chief Dayton Tucker wrote, "I am asking that the community take the following steps to ensure the safety of your property."
- Lock your doors when you are not in your rooms.
- Do not hold exterior doors for people who you don’t know
- Report suspicious persons to the NYS University Police at 914-251-6900
